Parents Teachers Association (PTA):

PTA of Canossa College of Nursing facilitates interaction among the parents, management and teachers. PTA General Body meetings are conducted every year and Executive Meeting are held, every three months, where the important decisions are taken and are implemented for the progress of the institution and students.


Funds available with PTA are mainly allotted to various programmes and activities of the college. The Executive Committee chaired by the Principal coordinates the activities of PTA. All its efforts are oriented towards improving various facilities in the college so as to promote academic excellence. The present PTA President is Mr. Radhakrishnan P.V.

Faculty improvement Programmes:

In order to sharpen the professional competence, the faculty is encouraged to participate in state, national and international level seminars and workshops of various speciality.


The college organizes every year seminars and workshops on modern pedagogies. Our staff conduct journal presentations every month on various modern aspects.

Student Empowerment Programme:

Value Added Education: Eminent faculties from other fields of knowledge are invited to give special lectures to students for their professional and personal improvement. Value added education sessions are conducted, every month in which the experts motivate both the teachers and the students.


Student Nurses Association (SNA): To encourage leadership and teamwork among nursing students, the unit level SNA conducts various curricular and extracurricular programmes, which promote the development of whole person, their professional role and responsibility to health care of people in all walks of life. The SNA conducts educational programmes every month, undertakes projects every year, communicates issues and concerns relevant to nursing, encourages participation in community health related activities and promotes legislative involvement of the nursing students.


Student Support & Guidance Counselling Committee: The fundamental aim of the counselling programme is to provide helpful resource for students who may need support. A fulltime, qualified, trained mental health professional is available to provide confidential personal counselling, group counselling and referral sources for students.


College Union : - Remedial Teaching: In order to bring up slow learners, the college is offering Remedial Teaching.
